The Hyperloop Conference is the 1st international conference on high-speed transportation. Here, you will meet all the Players in the hyperloop ecosystem, including hyperloop start-ups, corporates, suppliers and investors. After three editions in Europe and one edition in South Korea it will now take place at the Tomorrow.Mobility World Congress, an Event within the framework of Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona – Spain.

Workshop Outcome Pitches & Wrap-Up Plenary
This year the 4 workshops will provide deep dives into development solutions for Hyperloop topics.

Workshop A: „Hyperloop in Europe: Network Insights and Strategic Business Case“
How can hyperloop become part of Europe’s transport future? Join this interactive workshop to co-design business case dimensions of hyperloop development in the EU. Working in groups, you’ll contribute to shaping concrete recommendations on how to integrate hyperloop into the TEN-T network and Europe’s sustainable mobility vision.
André Freitas (Transport Policy and Regulation – TIS)
Ines Pinho (Consultant -TIS)

Workshop B: „Turning Vision into Service: Rethinking Hyperloop Operations“
Domenik Radeck (Technical Lead – TUM Hyperloop)

A Hyperloop project will only be realistic if it can transport goods or passengers safely and commercially successfully. An operator’s holistic view is helpful in this regard. Individual promoters and researchers are currently optimizing their subsystems. Last year, it became apparent that these subsystems complement each other well, but do not yet form a complete whole. In the workshop, we want to jointly develop a roadmap of what is required to create an overall project that is approvable, constructible, and makes sense in terms of transportation. As a result, we will develop a gap analysis and try to address the findings.
Jörg Marienhagen ( Director Consulting & Business Development – DB Engineering & Consulting)

Workshop D: „Safety and Standards for Robust Levitation, High Availability and Ride Comfort“
A safe levitation system is a prerequisite for Hyperloop approval, a comfortable levitation system is expected by passengers, and a highly available levitation system is demanded by operators. All three aspects are defined in standards and laws. In this workshop, we will demonstrate how these goals were achieved with the Transrapid System in Shanghai. It operates at speeds of up to 500 km/h and has a punctuality rate of over 99.89%. This was accomplished despite the use of electronic components with standard failure rates only. We will also discuss how early design decisions affect the difficulty of achieving high ride comfort. The workshop will explain the design process in accordance with functional safety standards and norms.
Dr. Markus Bauer (Managing Director – thyssenkrupp Transrapid – TechCenter Control Technology)
Dr. Florian Dignath (Senior System Engineer – thyssenkrupp Transrapid – TechCenter Control Technology)
